As we go about life, we are constantly experiencing different people, places and things. Some of those things we immediately like, and with others we grow into liking. Some we do not like immediately, and with others, our distaste grows over time. Then there are situations where we realize that it is not for us, and we just leave it alone without much thought about it at all. There is no judgment, we just realize it is okay just as it is, but it is not in the cards for us. If there were a place to evolve to, that would be the place. Within that place, there is no adversary, there is no enemy; we just realize that it is for someone, but not for us, and we just leave it alone.
You see, the liking or not liking, and the judgment, are not accurate representations of the quality being judged. It is a distorted representation that your mind has concocted about the quality itself. However, it is worth noting that it does reveal much about yourself, your thoughts, and your belief systems. It is showing you that the mind is judging something because of what it has been conditioned to judge. That judgment may or may not be accurate. It is showing you that you are allowing your past judgments to affect the present moment, and participating with the past. The past is forcing itself onto the present moment; you are buying into it, and continuing to label the quality itself as negative. This negative labeling is a representation of you and is truly worth looking at in relation to spiritual maturity.
So, before I go any further, let’s take a moment to explain the difference between not liking something, and letting it be because you know it is not for you, compared to not liking something and judging it. It may appear to be very miniscule and that the difference doesn’t really matter. However, relating to spiritual maturity, the difference is profound. You see, the aspect of judgment has a thought behind it that says that quality “should not” exist; for judgments are based in either a ‘should’ or a ‘should not.’ In the grand scheme of things and the grand scheme of the Game of Life, there is such a vast array of different things because there is a vast array of different people. So, yes, those things may not be for you, but that does not mean they don’t have a place within Existence itself. If they are not for you, do not even waste a moment of your concentrated thought on them, just move on.
Let’s say that you do become aware that you do not like something, and you are also aware that you are judging it. Why is that worth noting? Simply, it is worth noting because our thoughts create our feelings, and our thoughts also create the operating systems, our belief systems that govern how we play the game of life, and how we look at life.
So now, you are aware of this happening; what do you do with it? Awareness is the key! It is normal and natural for the mind to operate in this manner. Again, remember that it is the mind and you do not have to participate or engage with what the mind is saying to you about any given situation. Begin to witness the mind and what it is saying about the situation, but remember you do not have to jump on board with it. Jumping on board is only going to have continued negative effects on you and your life.

I do love this, just as I ask before about relationships, we are all different and we each have our own internal guide given to us from God about right and wrong. It is wrong for us to judge, but it is good for us to not participate or go where our heart don’t take us. Not all of our judgements sensors are learned, some have been put there by the divine. We do just need to be aware of good and evil. All that looks good is not, for me, as I have experienced. We each set our own boundary that feels right for us. Does that make any sense to you?
Robin, It sure does. Yes, it is very supportive to follow your own guidance system. That is why we call it ‘your’ guidance system. I do my best though, to get out of the good versus evil mentality. This is Planet Earth, which is governed by yin/yang I.E. The Realm of Duality. My point is that even though we live in this dualistic life, we have to watch our judgments and live from a true place of Oneness. Even though something may not be for you, it could be jsut the thing that could catapult someone through their own evolution. Judgment gets in the way of that. Does that make sense to you?
