I Am Already Free

Are we ever going to stop glorifying war and all of the components that go along with war, or are we going to realize that war is not the answer and begin to ask a new question? Are we going to wake up and realize what war has done to us in the past? Are we going to realize that we have never truly gotten what we wanted out of war; yes, we may have ‘succeeded’ or ‘won’, but at what cost, and was it worth it?

Yes, I understand that the mind, the ego operates under a ‘power and control’ game. Yes, I understand the concepts of fighting for what you believe is right or fighting for what you believe is yours but there are other ways to address those issues rather than raising your gun at someone.

War even gives the appearance of liberation, but does it compare to our natural, God-given freedom that each of us possesses? Until we as individuals, then as a nation, and then as a world truly understand, and embrace our natural state of grace, we will continue to attempt to liberate ourselves. Why liberate something that is already free? We only attempt to liberate when we have not embraced our freedom.

People, we have to begin to realize that the mind is only doing what the mind does naturally. We have to begin to realize that we have options other than raising a gun. We have to begin to honor the pauses, take a few extra breaths, and truly look at all of our options of response. Most of all, REMEMBER that we are not our minds, we are not our thoughts, we are not our ego, and then begin to use our minds, our hearts, and our connection to One God to help us with some new responses.

Today, as you are enjoying your holiday, watch the mind and its desire to participate in a power and control game, and then respond from the God-Presence that you are. Tomorrow, as you go back to work, or back to your ‘normal life,’ stay connected to the “I AM” Presence and truly decide what it is that you are going to declare for yourself at the end of that sentence.

I Am Life, I Am Love and I Am Freedom declared!

  1. David says:

You know I studied International Relations and Public Admin and so I understand all about national security and the necessity of war. But in America we are always at WAR! We express ideas of social improvement as war like the War on poverty! War on illegal drugs, the Culture Wars. We are always fighting and we have so much national cemetery with thousands of men and women who have done this fighting and died at average age 19. Too young to die. We fight too much. We are told we are fighting for the freedom and safety of America. But I don’t feel any safer and the war is happening in another country. Another country of third world poverty and of great fundamental cultural differences. What happens to those people over there when the war is over? Are they liberated? Have they also won freedom? Or are they left to pick up the pieces and are more vulnerable? All of this war and expression of war has become so accepted in American culture. Are we exporting democracy and freedom or just our culture of fighting?
