Dharma Dogs & Biscuits and Bellyrubs: About the Artist

Anna and Jack

I have worked with pet animals for my entire adult life. Working at vet’s offices and in a pet store helped me learn the ins and outs of anatomy and husbandry, but my work at “doggie daycares” taught me about body language, behavior, and some basic spiritual principles!
I have been a cartoonist, illustrator and painter since childhood, but it was while working extensively with dogs that I became serious about my craft. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood, and for me that happy childhood has only just begun.
I draw and write a Facebook strip called Biscuits & Bellyrubs by Anna Trodglen. I also make greeting cards and T-shirts, which are available for sale around town. I am also an animal portrait artist in both watercolor and acrylic. Dharma Dogs is my first collaborative strip, with Vedam writing the script and me illustrating.
I believe that spirituality is something to live, not just read about or talk about. I believe it’s a one day at a time thing and sometimes a one minute at a time thing! And within those minutes there’s always room for laughter! Even laughter that at times might seem “inappropriate!”
I am so happy to know Vedam. He has been my teacher and friend for many years. Love Live Laugh is going to be exciting, so come along for the ride! I welcome the chance to get to know you!
